Our standards
Editorial policy
Our goal is to publish clear, useful work that readers can assess and trust.
Accuracy and sources
We aim to check material facts against dependable sources, distinguish evidence from opinion and link to useful references where practical. Authors should explain the limits of their research. We do not claim to have tested a product or spoken to a source unless that happened.
Authorship and updates
Published articles identify their authors and use actual publication dates. We change an updated date when meaningful editorial changes are made, rather than to suggest freshness that does not exist. Specialist topics call for appropriate expertise or review.
Corrections
If a material claim is wrong or unclear, we review the evidence, correct the article and explain significant corrections where readers need that context. Please use our feedback and correction form to flag a concern.
Commercial relationships
Advertising, affiliate links and paid content are identified for readers. A fee or commission does not buy a favourable review, a guaranteed conclusion or an unqualified backlink. Sponsored product features and paid articles are labelled as such. See the affiliate disclosure for how affiliate links work.
Contributions
We consider original article proposals with a clear reader purpose, relevant experience and suitable sources. Submitted material is reviewed manually; submitting it does not guarantee publication. Contributors must disclose relevant commercial interests and have permission to share any supplied text or assets.
